Open Telegram → message @BotFather → /newbot → copy token
Send any message to your bot in Telegram
Web Research
optionalLet lynox search the web for current information. Get a free API key at tavily.com (1,000 free searches/month). For maximum privacy, disable "Allow use of query data" in your Tavily dashboard — otherwise Tavily may use your searches to improve their services.

All providers support cloud-init — the same standard script works everywhere. Some links are affiliate links — you may receive bonus credit.

Your credentials
never leave your browser.
- API key and tokens are processed entirely in JavaScript — nothing is sent to any server
- The encryption key is generated using your browser's built-in crypto API
- The cloud-init script runs on first boot and secures your server automatically
- All credentials are stored encrypted on your VPS — not on lynox servers
FAQ
Common questions.
What happens after I paste the script?
Your server starts, installs everything automatically, and is ready in 2–3 minutes. If you set up Telegram, just open the app and message your bot. That's it — no further steps needed.
Does lynox update automatically?
Yes. Your server includes an auto-updater (Watchtower) that checks for new versions daily. When an update is available, it's applied automatically — you don't need to do anything.
Is the cheapest plan enough?
Yes. lynox uses ~300 MB RAM and minimal CPU. The AI processing happens on Anthropic's servers. Even the smallest plan is more than enough.
What about backups?
lynox can back up your knowledge graph and history to Google Drive automatically. Set it up via Telegram with the /backup command. Your provider also offers server snapshots.
Do I need technical skills to manage this?
No. Everything after setup is done through Telegram — ask questions, run tasks, manage workflows. Your provider's web console gives you browser-based access to the server if you ever need it, but day-to-day use is entirely through Telegram.
